After replacing the rear brake pads, Pathfinder releases the handbrake motor to the repair position.
Steps
1 Lift the vehicle, open the diagnostic device, connect the diagnostic computer PathFinder, diagnose the vehicle
2 After logging in to the account,and testing the car
3 After the test is completed, select the ECU diagnosis;
4.Find the module to perform the action: ABS module;
5.After entering the module function, select the ECU function
6Find in the list of ECU functions,Replace the parking brake pad - release to the repair position and "double click"
7.After execution, pay attention to the prompt and proceed
8. Turn off the ignition switch and replace the brake pads.
A.Remove the tire and remove the brake pads
B.Use a special tool to press the brake cylinder back to the initial position
C.Install a new brake pad to the car and replace it with a new brake line.
D.Turn on the ignition switch, after checking, confirm that the brake warning light is removed.
E.Confirm that the sensor line and the direction is correct
F.Install tires
Use the diagnostic computer to enter the ABS module → ECU function → replace the parking brake pad → exit the maintenance mode and follow the prompts.
Tips
1 The sensor head of the brake sensor wire is fragile when installed, so be careful when installing it.
2 The fixed position of the sensing wire is wrong, and it is easy for the tire or the moving part to break the sensing wire, causing the brake to be illuminated again.
3 Remind customers that the brakes that are newly replaced are not the best.
